Tunisian companies in pole position to rebuild Libya

About ten Tunisian companies are defending their opportunities at the “Libya Build” exhibition, which started on April 9 and ends tomorrow, Thursday, May 2 in the Libyan capital, Tripoli. These companies work in the sectors of prefabricated buildings and thermal chambers, the production and distribution of accessories and components for sliding curtains and gates, the design of insulating panels, etc.

Led by the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX), this participation underscores the variety of the Tunisian offer and establishes collaborations with Libyan operators to prosper on international markets.

“Libya Build” is a leading crossroads devoted to a range of building operators (architecture, engineering, construction, construction, environment, etc.), interior design and decoration. Some 265 local and foreign companies of various nationalities are meeting there, including Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Italy and China.

Remember that Libya is Tunisia’s first Arab market and the fifth in the world, with exports which increased to 2,871 million dinars (MD) in 2023. Industrial products account for 40% of the overall volume of exports to Libya. We are mainly speaking about cement and derivatives (228.8 MD), iron wires (63.8 MD), liquid-insulating electrical transformers (52.9 MD), plus sanitary products, paint and tiling.
