African Development Bank President Dr. Akinwuni Adesina says no to Nigeria’s Presidency offer

Dr. Akinwuni Adesina, President of the African Development Bank President has rejected an offer to contest for Nigeria’s Presidency office.

The development comes barely weeks after former President of Nigeria Good lucky Jonathan also rejected the offer.

In a statement Dr. Adesina said: “I have been extremely humbled by several calls from Nigerians at home and abroad that I should consider running for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria…

“While I am deeply honored, humbled and grateful for all the incredible goodwill, kindness, and confidence, my current responsibilities at this time do not allow me to accept to be considered.”

Nigeria will go polls in 2023.
